Bioteam is a biological insecticide developed by Bioglobal. It is an effective solution for controlling the larvae of the May beetle (Melolontha melolontha), also known as Manas, Kadi Bite, Mengish, Ashtray Wolf, and the June beetle (Polyphylla fullo). Bioteam has been registered by the "Republic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Food" and is suitable for use in fruit trees, ornamental plants, grass areas, and vegetables.
In Which Plant Groups Is Bioteam Used?
Bioteam is used in a variety of plant groups, including:
- Apples

The May beetle larvae are particularly harmful to soft-core fruit varieties and sandy humus soils.
How should Bioteam be applied?
Accurate and complete applications greatly increase the success rate of Bioteam in its biological effectiveness. Here are some step-by-step considerations to follow before applying Bioteam:
Packaging Selection and Storage Conditions
- Bioteam is available in packages containing 500 million, 250 million, and 50 million pieces of biological control.
- Choose the most suitable packaging based on the number of trees you need to control. For each tree, 0.5 million Bioteam bioteams are recommended.
- The opened bioteam package should be used at one time.
- Before use, check the expiration date on the package.
- Bioteam is a biological product with a shelf life of a maximum of 1 month. Store it at temperatures of 2-6 °C in a dark environment if you plan to use it at a later date.
- Bioteam is active in the range of 8-28 °C.
Preparation of Bioteam
- Bioteam can be applied using motorized sprayers, sprinkler systems, back pumps, or even a gardener's bucket.
- Ensure that the application tank is completely clean before filling it with water.
- Fill the application tank with cold (15-20 °C) and clean water, half of which is chlorine-free.
- Adjust the total amount of water to each 1 m² application area with 5-10 liters of water for every plant.
- Remove all filters and sieves inside the application tank to prevent obstruction.
- Use a spray head with a diameter greater than 0.5 mm (500 micron) to prevent clogging.
- Add the entire bioteam package to 10 liters of water in a separate bucket and mix for 5 minutes to ensure homogeneous mixing.
- Transfer the mixture from the bucket to the application tank, which is half-filled with water, and add the remaining amount of water.
Application of Bioteam
- Use a total of 1 million Bioteams for each tree.
- Apply the Bioteam using a spray nozzle and pistol at a pressure of 5 bar.
- Ensure that the mixer works during the application to prevent the mixture from sinking to the bottom.
- Continue the mixing process until the application ends.
- After application, store soil moisture by watering.
